The concept of biodiversity was first used by the American scholar Walter Rosen in 1985. The word is a combination of the Greek “bios” - life, and the English “diversity” - variety.

In our “Waste to Art” sessions we learn how to transform items of low value into useful ones.
We use art techniques to grasp the meaning of the environmental idea of waste treatment.

The content is organized in sections and serve as a source of cross-border biodiversity, waste management and recycled art information in line with the 3 training modules.

It is a self-learning aid for the Biodiversity Advocates, as well as for individual visitors, school boards, educational and environmental local bodies, who may wish to apply this innovative tool in their institutions.
